My Funny Valentine

Hello all,

I’ve been busy creating Love themed paper crafts using the Bloomin’ Love stamp set and co-ordinating Love Blossoms papers these past couple of weeks.   I wanted to put on a small display of what you can do with the papers for my class attendees this coming Sunday.  They each get half a pack of these designer papers, so I wanted to showcase the many different ways you can use them, not just for cards.  I started by decorating the Tiny Treat boxes, which I love and always have a bag of in my crafting den.  They come in a pack of 25 pre made, and require just folding into a box and decorating.   I simply cut the paper into 2″ squares, perfect when you use DSP like Love Blossoms as it measures 6″ square, which means no wastage.  I then used the Sweetheart Punch to quickly punch out some hearts.  I stamped the sentiments from the stamp set, some in ink, and some embossed and stick them to the hearts. I love embossing in white against the plain of the kraft treat box, it looks so effective, and its minimal fuss.  The small lace heart looks beautiful embossed, perfect for wedding and anniversary crafts, not just Valentine’s Day.
I then decorated some jelly bean bottles using the Love Blossoms papers, and Rose Red card.  Again I stamped, and embossed, the sentiments from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.  I finished them off punched out hearts, the middle one is tied with string, and the other two have the hearts on the lids.

I also created teeny tiny boxes using the Ornate Tag Topper punch on the papers, which I had cut into 6″x 2″ strips, (you can get 3 from one single sheet of this DSP), scored at 2.5″ both sides (leaving a 1″ section in the middle), folded over and tied together with ribbon.  I had to create a small box to glue inside in order to hold a small love heart.  I followed Bij Margriet‘s drawing on her blog post, despite the language barrier they turned out perfectly. These are my gifts to my lovely attendees, or as I call them, my Artisans. In Stampin’ Up!s own words, I can’t  wait to “share we what we love” with them 💌

You can purchase all the supplies mentioned above from my online shop.
