Christmas Crafting

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I just love Christmas, don’t you? Putting up the decorations, and making your home look all Christmas cosy has got to be the best part (that and all the food, drink & presents lol!)

This year I had a Twine Advent Calendar in mind, rather than the boxes that I have used the past two Christmases.  It had to be super simple as time, money & energy are low at the moment.

Using the Large Number Framelits #140622, I quickly churned out numbers, folding over the paper three times so I could cut four at a time.  Obviously you need a lot of 1’s and 2’s for an Advent Calendar.

I used the cute Candy Cane Lane DSP #141981 for the individual little treat holders.  It was quick and easy as I simply copied a template I had used in the past.

I ummmmed and ahhhhhed about what to put inside, healthy snack or naughty choc-choc?  The torment of being a Mum. In the end, I took the pressure off and just went with some cute character chocolate bars I got from the £1 shop.  It is Christmas after all!

Here it is in situ in my sons’ playroom.  Apart from being an Advent Calendar, it is a good number chart for him, which we could leave up all year.

If you would like to make one then head to my shop where you can find all the materials I used, or click on the #reference numbers above.  (Note: you will need a cutting machine for the framelits, if you havent got one of these, then check out the Big Shot #143263, if you’ve been good maybe Santa will bring you one 🙂
