A Day at the Beach

I had an enquiry earlier this year asking if Stampin’ Up! does a Beach Themed Project Life kit, as there isn’t one I couldn’t resist getting these brand new stamps to create my own simple beach theme cards.

I used a 12 x 12″ page from Variety Pack 2, which incorporates these tiny 2×2″ pockets.  I cut up some Whisper White card into 2inch squares and a 4inch for the centre.  The stamps looked perfect on the tiny squares. I used some bright fine liners I have to add a touch of colour.

I then created a 4x4inch template on Word to print my journaling on. The template helps stick the card exactly in place, so I simply stuck it on using washi tape and ran it through the printer.

As I was getting into the creative flow, I couldn’t resist making this cute little matching pairs game for my son.  I used my fave Labeler Alphabet stamps #191436 to add little labels for him.  He’s only 3 now so he won’t be able to understand, but it’s never too early to start with reading and writing.  He’ll probably tear it up being a toddler, so I may need to purchase a laminator if I don’t want him to destroy my creation.

These stamps will be available in the new Spring/Summer 2017 catalogue in the New Year, which is also Sale-A-Bration.  More information to come on this soon.
