Card Making

Follow Your Dreams

This new bundle landed at my door last week and I literally couldn’t wait to start playing with it. I had seen such beautiful creations on Instagram from talented demos, that had inspired me to buy this set. Not that I needed much persuasion as it’s just gorgeous.

The first card I made with was this absolutely stunning creation by Steffi over at Stempelweise. I just loved the background, which is created using a brayer. Steffi always inspires me, and she does the most amazing videos to help you create your own.

My Demo, Gemma, created one with me too (as we were having a cheeky Crafternoon sesh together lol). She changed the sentiment to gold embossed stamped version though, which I think looks equally stunning. I think it goes well with her nail polish, don’t you!? 💅🏻

The next batch of cards I created was inspired by Kristen at Scraparound. She always makes such simple yet stunning creations. I changed the colours slightly from the neutral tones she used, instead opting for Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo, purely on the basis of using what I had in stock.

With the leftover card from cutting out the large feathers, I made another card. This time it was my own creation, although it was inspired by a recent card made by Jackie over at Jaxxy Creations, who again makes such stunning cards and who’s Instagram feed is a constant source of inspiration.

I laid the leftover scrap (love using every single bit of card!!) on top of Tropical Escape DSP, and finished with the Follow Your Dreams sentiment in black and a simple piece of twine.

I have a feeling this set is going to be used a lot over the coming months. If you would like to make these cards, then keep an eye on my events for August as I shall be creating a Follow Your Dreams class co-hosted with my demo, Gemma.

  1. Hello Anna! Your cards are so inspiring! I love the researchers, I love the way that you cut out one, and the feather card! Very nice. I loved the one you did at your sesh. The black looks great because it takes it from the design and hers in gold looks great be use she took it from her design!
You are expanding your Cardmaking so quickly and you are so inspiring!
I wanted to get a hold f you because I found those great cards done with the frogs and th he green and black that I told you about. She has it on you tube. They were made by Katrina Martinez, entitle 4 Cards With Happy Together. She has great cards and ideas for by inspiration if you are looking for some. That video is fantastic. I love the color combo. Blessings, Lee. Will see talk later!

  2. What product do you use to make the water marks on the background of your brayer card? I looked at the video, but could not understand what product to use to make them… thanks : )

  3. Hi Josee,

We used a Stampin’ Up! Aqua Painter to flick water over the brayered background. You could just use a fine brush as well. Just dip it in water then hold over your card and tap quite hard to create small splashes all over x
