Tropical Chic

This week I’m showcasing the gorgeous Tropical Chic Bundle alongside co-ordinating Tropical Escape papers.

I have been so inspired by fellow crafters tropical posts over the summer, I couldn’t resist creating some of my own.

I absolutely adore this set, I mean who doesn’t love palm leaves? The creation above uses the clever little square framelit which I simply cut four times using my Big Shot, folded et voila you’ve got a very beautiful, paper candle holder #simples!!

I popped an LED tea light inside, you can see the effect below. This creation is large enough to accommodate a larger candle in a glass jar as well, but please don’t put a naked flame close to paper folks!!

Next I used the same framelit to make a concertina box card following the super talented Kreativformat’s tutorial.

I love concertina cards, they’re a wonderful unique kinda card & great for holding photos of special moments. They’re like a mini album that the recipient can treasure. This one is going to a very special person later this summer, so I can’t give too much away!

As a result of layering the front cover of the concertina card I had leftover palms, so I created a little summery card with them. The leaves were cut in Whisper White & Soft Sea Foam, such a delicate colour combo. I used the Tropical Escape DSP behind, and faceted gems to embellish.

Head over to my shop to find all the materials I have used to create these tropical delights!!
