Flower Power

This month’s mini blog hop theme is all things floral, suggested by my lovely demo, Gemma.  We have a variety of pretty paper creations made using floral stamps, papers, framelits and embellishments from Stampin’ Up!

I’m thrilled that we have two more delightful demonstrators joining our hop this month.  The lovely Jennyfer Schutz from Germany, and my girl, Kelly Gardiner, from just around the corner.

Jennyfer & I became friends on Instagram, and connected through our shared experience of creative therapy.  She’s a lovely lady, whose creations I am share are set to inspire you.

Kelly is my own lovely demonstrator, who only signed up in January, and has already achieved various SU demo goals, despite being a single Mum of twins. So, basically she’s Superwoman!

For this blog I have chosen to create two traditional style scrapbooking pages using two of our finest floral designer series papers; the beautiful Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Speciality Paper and Petal Promenade DSP, both are pure floral indulgence.

For my first scrapbook page I used what I had left of this beautiful paper, which I had already cut into to make cards previously. I loved that it looked vintage, almost imperfect with it’s jagged cut edges. So I laid it over the neutral grey side of Petal Promenade paper, which looked perfect as a backdrop against the delicate lace like flowers.

I used a photo of my friend, Laura, and I, taken on her wedding day. I thought the floral detail was perfect for a wedding scrapbook page.

I cut the photo using a Circle Framelit, then a slightly larger circle in Petal Pink, to create a border.  I trimmed some of the flowers from the laser cut paper to embellish around it, along with a few petal pink faceted dots for the flower centres.

I wanted to keep the page simple as the Delightfully Detailed paper does all the decorating for you. I embellished the page using a snippet from a Delightfully Detailed Memories & More cardWood Textures DSP, Copper Foil sheets & Foliage Frames Framelits.

The second scrapbook page was made using another beautiful piece of Petal Promenade paper. I adore peonies, so this paper is just heaven. I chose a couple of small prints from a lovely day out I had had with the boys a couple of weeks ago. The prints are from Inkifi, and measure 2″ x 2″. I love how they have a little white border too.

I embellished using one of the borders from Delightfully Detailed DSP, Tabs for Everything, Circle Tag Punch and Lined Alphabet Stamp set.

Everything I used above can be found on my shop ❤

Please hop on over to my fellow demonstrators blogs for more pretty floral creations.
