DIY Large Box

On Monday I created these LARGE boxes that I made using Twinkle Twinkle & Tranquil Textures DSP. I followed a tutorial by Pootles, which made this project super easy.

The boxes measure 6″x 6″ x 3″ deep, so you can fit a substantial gift inside. A perfect paper craft project with Christmas on the horizon.

I started with a piece of 12 x 12″ cardstock, scored on each side at 3″, folded and cut and mitred in at the sides to create a base.

I then took a piece of 12 x 12″ DSP, scored at 1 1/4″ and 3″ on each side. Folded and then cut in to create the lid.

Sam at Pootles had a great trick for making sure the lid fits, which is shown at the end of her tutorial. Simply click here to watch it!

It’s a great way to use up any DSP you may have, imagine the saving on Christmas packaging, and all the more special because you made it by hand ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป
