Christmas Crafting · Mini Blog Hop

Advent

This month our Mini Blog Hop is all things Christmas. My project is an Advent Calendar using Signs of Santa Bundle, Festice Farmhouse Papers & a whole load of Kraft Pillowboxes.

I was inspired by Alison Okamitsu’s Advent Calendar using the pillow boxes cut in half.

They work perfectly as advent boxes with the gold library clips on top. I used Pick a Pennant numbers in Real Red, punched out with a small circle punch then slightly larger one behind.

I used two sheets from the Festive Farmhouse papers for the background, on two pieces of cardboard that came with some papers. Love a good upcycle of packaging.

I embossed the word Christmas with White Embossing Powder onto Real Red card using Lined Alphabet Stamps. Decorating with snowflakes from Santa’s Signpost Framelits and Frosted Epoxy Droplets. I then finished the title with 2018 in Real Red, again using Pick a Pennant stamp set.

For the snow scene at the bottom I used Swirly Scribbles Framelits on a length of Whisper White card and Embossing Paste to create a textured effect. I then stuck my little Christmas characters from Signs of Santa on using Mini Dimensionals.

The characters have been a pleasure to bring to life, colouring using Stampin’ Blends. I cut the presents up on this scene so it looks like Mrs Christmas is getting a well deserved treat for all her hard work ❤️

If you would like to make one of these, I will post a step by step tomorrow. In the meantime, head to my online shop and get all the materials and tools you will need while the 10% offer is still on.

Please hop on over to the talented Elizabeth at PDX Paperie for more Christmas Creations using Stampin’ Up!
