Butterfly Gala

For the past few weeks I have been lucky enough to play with the beautiful new Butterfly Gala Bundle that is part of SU’s Spring/Summer & Sale-A-Bration 2019 collection.

The punch co-ordinates with the Botanical Butterly DSP that is FREE with any £45 (as of 3rd January 2019). I used the monochrome sides of the DSP on the box above and the card below. Both were really simple to make, and yes we will be making them in our January craft workshop (reserve your seat now).

Both projects were made using pre made products (mini pizza box and narrow note cards), which makes it quick and easy to whip up a creation as and when.

I also used a pre made kraft pillowbox to create a little gift package below. It’s amazing what a bit of polka dot tulle ribbon and a delicate butterfly can produce.

The project below uses my favourite design in the paper pack, which I punched out using a small 1″ circle punch to create magnets.

These are SO easy to create, you simply punch the paper, add a 1″ clear epoxy button (I got mine from Amazon) and then punch a 1″ circle from a magnetic sheet.

Below is another simple paper project using the Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets (another Sale A Bration freebie). I used the Butterfly Gala punch to create the buttterflies below.

These foil sheets produce the most beautiful iridescent butterflies. I decided to create a frame with them using an Ikea Ribba frame, and one of my favourite photos. I simply stuck the butterflies on and stamped one of the sentiments from Incredible Like You stamp set, which is also out January 2019.

The punch co-ordinates with the Botanical Butterfly paper, so you can punch out the butterflies, like I did in the project below.

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala Stampset which is supremely beautiful.

I used the sentiment in the project above, simply punched out with my circle punch. I embellished with Butterfly Elements (yes another SAB freebie!!!), polka dot tulle, a doily (sponged in Petal Pink ink) and a vellum butterfly.

All of these beautiful products are available to fellow SU demonstrators now, and to customers on 3rd January 🦋
