Last week I made this GORGEOUS box out of the FREE Foil Sheets. I used the Grapefruit Grove colour, as it is just divine!! The shine on it has me mesmerised, and it shimmers all rainbow colours when you move it.
To make this box I basically measured what I wanted to send, and then cut to size. I needed a square that was 20cm, as the sheet measures 30.6 I had to score all sides 5.3cm. (My GCSE math came in handy for this calculation).
Once you’ve scored all sides you need to cut in to create tabs, then fold and stick down. Keen & avid crafters will know what I mean by this. Beginners refer to the first part of my box tutorial video.
To make the base I used a piece of Lovely Lipstick 12×12 cardstock, and simply scored 1mm bigger so it would fit inside the lid (this meant scoring all sides at 5.4cm). I folded, cut up the tabs and stuck down again.
I decorated the box using Botanical Butterfly DSP, which I am certainly enjoying, by creating a “belly band”. To do this I cut 2 lots of 12×3″ strips, scored at 5.3cm on both ends of the long side, and then placed over the box and stuck down where it felt comfortable.
I used whatever I had in my ribbon box to finish it off. It is such a pretty box, and the sheets are super thick so they’re perfect for pretty box making.
