Memories & More · Mini Blog Hop

January Blues

Hello there,

Welcome to another Mini Blog Hop, the first of 2019. This month our theme is January Blues. After Christmas the mood always seems a little low, so we thought we would try to lift your spirits with some Stampin’ Up! creations.

For my blog hop, I decided to create Memories & More pages as it had been so long since I had last scrapbooked. Let’s face it after two weeks with kids over Christmas, energy levels are low so any form of creativity that reminds me of fun times together can really help flip my mood.

To prepare I organised my photos and card kits as I felt overwhelmed with the amount I had. After watching the new series on Netflix, Tidying up with Marie Kondo, I was inspired to sort through my photos keeping only the ones that ‘spark joy’. This mentality really helped me to let go of all the ones that were just sitting in the box. Once I had done this, I then tidied my card kits & realised I still had quite a lot to use. Focusing on what I have, I chose the Best Route kit, combined with photos of our most recent trip to Scarborough.

I kept it simple using only the cards and stickers along with one stamp set, Pick a Pennant, and Blueberry Bushell ink.

It was nice to simplify the whole process, from organising my photos & cards, to creating layouts using a few items.

You will be eligible for a freebie from Sale A Bration with the purchase of all the supplies I have used. Please see the list of products used below.
