Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and what better way to celebrate it than with a crafted creation.
I made this simple pennant banner using a piece of leftover scrap card, cut at an angle at the bottom. (I actually measured this to find the middle, and then cut one inch from the side down to the point to create the angle).
I used one of the Be Mine Stitched Hearts Framelits to create the background. I absolutely love this stitched heart effect. I added the word Celebrate in white, and You in gold, both of these framelits are from the Celebrate You set.
I stamped one of the beautiful intricate butterfly stamps from Butterfly Gala stamp set in Basic Gray ink, and then gently daubed Blushing Bride ink around the wings. I punched it out using the Butterfly Duet Punch, which will be back in stock soon.
I then stuck a paper straw to the top of the banner using my trusty Tombow glue (this sticks anything together, literally anything!), and popped some twine through for hanging.
