Easter Bunny Giftbox

With Easter a week away I thought I would create a blog to show you this simple but sweet little gift box that fits a chocolate rabbit inside.

For this box I used the Gingham Gala papers and Crumb Cake cardstock. I decorated using the rabbit stamp from Fable Friends, coloured using my aqua pen and various inks. You can buy these products from my shop, just click here.

Here is a step by step picture tutorial to help you create one for yourself.

First take a piece of Gingham Gala DSP, and a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 8″ x 8″.

Score the card at 2 3/4″ on all sides, so it should look like this…

Next cut your card up on the score line so it looks like this…

Do this on all sides until you end up with this…..

Next add your glue to the tabs and stick together to form your box sides.

Once you have your base, you will need to make your lid. For this score your Gingham Gala DSP at 4.4cm. The reason for this is so you create a lid that is slightly larger than the base, so it slides on easily.

Score on all sides, then fold and cut just like you did the base.

Before gluing it, pop your lid over your base and glue together around it. This way you make sure it fits perfectly.

Lastly, watercolour your little rabbit and create a tab using the small Rectangle Stitched Framelit, and wrap around your box using Polka Tulle Ribbon.
