I was lucky enough to be gifted this paper from Onstage 2019 a few Saturdays ago, amongst a ton of other freebies. At first I didn’t know what to do with it, as it wouldn’t have been my first choice of papers, but as I kept looking at it I couldn’t help but fall in love with it’s soft tones and intricate patterns.
I wanted to use it to create treats for our class attendees, so I scoured the internet for inspiration and found these fab little paper heart holders by CreativeLeeYours. Her free tutorial is makes it super simple to create these, I swapped tape for a staple, and her butterfly for a flower using the brand new Perennial Flower punch. This was another freebie from our time at Onstage, it’s amazing how many new goodies you take away with you at this amazing Stampin’ Up! event.
The tiny box inside is made to fit the Ferrero Rocher perfectly, and only takes a few minutes to make. I used less than one sheet of this Designer Series Paper (DSP), and some scraps of Mint Macaron card to make all these treat holders. I am slowly making my way through all my leftover scraps, it feels good to make use of everything little bit of scrap card & paper.
The flowers were also made using scraps, even the white card that comes with DSP isn’t wasted when making these kind of decorations. I love the sparkly gold centre made using gold glimmer paper and 1/2″ circle punch.
Mosaic Mood DSP and Perennial Flower punch will be available to order from the 4th June. Until then head to my Stampin’ Up! shop to browse all the current goodies, be sure to grab those that will be retiring before they’re gone.
