Card Making · Colouring · Stampin’ Blends!

Good Morning Magnolia

This week I have been enjoying some colour therapy using the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, and my Stampin’ Blends!

This card came about by simply enjoying colouring in the flowers, and then adding scraps.

I used a scrap piece of shimmer white cardstock, stamped all over with the smaller flower from this set, and simply coloured using my blends.

I started by colouring the whole flower using the lighter of my blends, then adding darker patches around the bottom of the petals, then I went over it all again with the light shade, making sure to blend the dark into light so there were no lines.

I embossed the sentiment on a small scrap of vellum, using white embossing powder. I popped a small scrap of Purple Posy behind and made a small hole using my Pokey Tool so I could thread offcuts of twine and the new lace trim through, along with a little trinket from the Bird Ballad elements.
